Susanna Fagerholm is Professor of Cell- and Molecular Biology and vice director of the Molecular and Integrative Biosciences Research Programme at University of Helsinki. Before joining UH, she was a PI at University of Dundee, UK, and was Global Fellow at University of St Andrews, UK 2024-2025. She has headed a 1M international (E-RARE) consortium with four partner laboratories and has been director of the PhD student programme of Integrative Life Sciences at UH She brings expertise in integrins in immunity, immune cell biology, mechanistic studies of immune responses and signaling, utilizing cell biology, animal models and multi-omics techniques, with publications in top journals such as Nat Comms, Blood, Cancer Imm Res.
